Floral Delivery Lead Driver/Dispatcher

Delivery LeadDr. Delphinium, Dallas' premier florist, is seeking a dependable and experienced Delivery Lead to support our delivery team and ensure exceptional customer service. You'll help maintain the standard of our products and service, support the team in daily operations, and serve as a resource for department policies and best practices. When the Delivery Manager is out of office, the Lead will act as the primary point of contact for the department.Responsibilities:Perform all standard delivery driver duties, including delivering floral arrangements and gift itemsDetermine efficient delivery routes and meet all assigned "by" timesFollow all safe driving rules and property-specific delivery instructionsProvide exceptional customer service upon delivery; verify signatures and answer delivery-related questionsMaintain professionalism and positive communication with clients and teammatesConduct daily vehicle inspections (fluids, tires, etc.) and report maintenance needsKeep assigned delivery vehicles clean, inside and outEnsure 100% compliance with all company policies and proceduresSupport the Delivery Manager with administrative tasks, vehicle maintenance, and daily checklistsEnforce department rules and regulationsAssist with training new team membersPull trips, check for add-ons, and help manage daily routingAct as the point of contact and decision-maker when the Delivery Manager is out of officeRotate weekday closing shifts and weekend supervisor shiftsMaintain strong communication with internal teams, including designers, client relations, events, and retail locationsSupport flexibility during blackout periods, holidays, inclement weather, and staffing emergenciesRequirements:Valid Driver's License and clean driving record meeting insurance requirementsMinimum two years of delivery experience preferredStrong customer service skills; friendly, professional, and solution-focusedExcellent communication and leadership presenceAbility to lift and carry up to 50lbsComfortable working independently and supporting a team in a fast-paced environmentCalm and tactful when handling difficult or time-sensitive situationsFlexible schedule with availability to work weekends and holidaysTobacco-free workplace; adherence to company policy required during working hoursSelf-motivated, punctual, and dependableMust pass a drug test and background check
