Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Architect – Studio Head with 9–12 years of experience to work directly with the Principal Architect and lead the architectural studio.

The role combines design leadership, project delivery, Revit/BIM management, consultant coordination, client interaction and team mentorship .

Key Responsibilities

Design & Project Leadership

• Work closely with the Principal Architect to translate the studio’s design vision into well-resolved projects.
• Lead projects from concept and design development through documentation and execution .
• Review planning, massing, façades, materials and architectural detailing.
• Ensure design quality, functionality, efficiency and constructability across projects.

Studio & Team Leadership

• Lead Project Architects, Junior Architects and the BIM Team .
• Allocate projects, responsibilities and deliverables based on priorities and team capabilities.
• Conduct regular design, drawing and project reviews.
• Mentor teams, encourage ownership and maintain high standards of performance and accountability.

Project Management

• Oversee multiple projects, schedules, deliverables and resources simultaneously.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify delays, risks and coordination issues.
• Ensure timely delivery while maintaining architectural and documentation quality.

Revit, BIM & Technical Quality

• Lead Revit-based project delivery and BIM workflows .
• Review architectural models, drawings, details and construction documentation.
• Establish and maintain BIM, documentation and QA/QC standards .
• Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated and buildable before issue.

Consultant Coordination

• Lead coordination with Structural, MEP, Façade, Landscape, Fire, Liaison and other specialist consultants .
• Identify and resolve multidisciplinary design and technical conflicts.
• Ensure consultant inputs are correctly integrated into architectural documentation.

High-Rise & Regulatory Coordination

• Review tower planning, cores, parking, podiums, basements, vertical circulation and service integration.
• Apply working knowledge of Mumbai DCPR, fire norms, building codes and approval requirements .
• Balance design intent with planning efficiency, regulatory compliance and commercial objectives.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Participate in and lead meetings with clients, developers, PMCs, consultants and contractors .
• Present design solutions clearly and translate client decisions into actionable directions for the team.
• Maintain professional communication and timely follow-up across stakeholders.

Construction & Site Coordination

• Review shop drawings, materials and critical construction details.
• Conduct key site visits and resolve architectural and coordination issues during execution.
• Ensure construction remains aligned with approved drawings and architectural intent.

Studio Development

• Support the Principal Architect in developing SOPs, BIM standards, drawing standards and efficient studio workflows .
• Encourage adoption of BIM, AI, computational and emerging design technologies .
• Contribute to building a collaborative, accountable and design-driven studio culture.

Must-Have Qualifications

• B.Arch from a recognized institution; COA registration preferred.
• 9–12 years of professional architectural experience .
• Proven experience in high-rise residential and/or commercial projects .
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit is mandatory , with sound BIM workflow knowledge.
• Strong design, planning, detailing and construction documentation skills.
• Experience coordinating Structural, MEP, Façade, Fire, Landscape and Liaison consultants .
• Working knowledge of Mumbai DCPR, building codes and fire regulations .
• Ability to independently lead multiple projects from design development through execution .
• Experience managing and mentoring Project Architects, Junior Architects and BIM teams .
• Strong client communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• M.Arch or relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Advanced Revit/BIM coordination and model management experience.
• Experience in luxury residential, commercial towers, mixed-use, hospitality, villas or master planning .
• Exposure to Dynamo, Grasshopper, computational or parametric design .
• Familiarity with D5 Render, Enscape and AI-assisted architectural workflows .
• Experience developing BIM standards, SOPs and QA/QC systems .
• Understanding of planning efficiency, FSI optimization and commercially intelligent design .
• International/GCC project exposure would be an advantage.
