About the Role
We're working with a growing business looking to strengthen its data and reporting capabilities.
This is a great opportunity for a BI & Insight Analyst to work closely with different teams across the business, helping them make better use of data to support everyday decisions and wider business projects.
You'll be responsible for understanding reporting requirements, building dashboards, investigating data and turning business questions into useful insights. You'll also work alongside the data engineering team to improve reporting, data quality and self-service analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL, Power BI and other reporting tools.
Work with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and business questions.
Analyse data from multiple systems and databases.
Investigate data issues and help improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
Turn manual reporting processes into reusable dashboards and automated solutions.
Work closely with data engineers to improve datasets and reporting capabilities.
Explain findings and insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Support wider business projects through data analysis and reporting.
About You
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Experience building reports, dashboards or BI solutions.
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
Comfortable working with multiple data sources and imperfect data.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Confident communicating with stakeholders and understanding their requirements.
A proactive approach, with the ability to challenge requirements and identify opportunities to improve reporting.
Desirable Experience
Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL or other cloud data platforms.
Data warehouses, data modelling or curated datasets.
Jira or similar tools for managing reporting requests.
Experience improving self-service reporting or automating manual processes.
Experience in retail, healthcare or multi-site businesses.
