Position Summary
The Senior Manager/Manager of AML/KYC Operations is a critical role within the bank's compliance framework. This role drives the execution of the Bank's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing strategy. You will oversee Transaction Monitoring, Periodic RFI review and Regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will be part of high-performing teams, fortifies internal controls, and interfaces directly with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies. You will ensure operational excellence while balancing business growth with flawless compliance.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the alert management lifecycle to detect patterns of Money Laundering, Identification of Money Mule accounts, Trade-based money laundering (TBML), etc. Timely and accurate filing of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), CTRs, NTR and CCR. Formulate typologies, case studies, and internal risk assessment models to proactively mitigate emerging financial crime threats. Mentor team as per metrics and processing note. Conduct regulatory training programs for business units, corporate banking, and retail branches. Align bank policies with evolving RBI Master Directions, PMLA guidelines, and FIU-IND directives.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Law, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred. Minimum 7–9 years in AML/KYC compliance within Indian banking, with at least 3 years in a middle-management role. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) AML/KYC certification is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with screening systems (Lexis Nexis, World-Check) and specialized transaction monitoring architecture. Sharp analytical acumen, and strong articulation skills for regulatory reporting.
