Your new companyAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Financial Controller to join a highly regarded, international professional services business in London.Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a broad and commercially focused role with responsibility for the day-to-day finance function across the UK and Ireland. Alongside owning the core financial reporting and control activities, you will work closely with senior leadership, providing analysis, insight and commercial support. The position would suit an ambitious Financial Controller looking for a visible role within a high-quality, international environment, with plenty of opportunity to improve processes and develop the finance function.Your new roleKey responsibilitiesProduce monthly management accounts and review key accounting journalsProvide detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis and commentaryReview and control key expenditure, including payroll and supplier paymentsOversee tax and HMRC-related processes, working with external advisers where appropriatePartner with senior leadership on financial planning and the annual business planning processTake ownership of the year-end audit from start to finishPrepare year-end financial statementsAct as a key point of contact for external auditorsDrive continuous improvement across finance processes and controlsSupport and help develop junior members of the finance teamWhat you'll need to succeedYou will be a qualified accountant with a strong combination of technical accounting knowledge and commercial awareness.Proven experience owning a year-end audit processStrong management accounting and financial analysis experienceKnowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102 or IFRSStrong Excel skillsExperience working with an ERP system with NetSuite exposure advantageousExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skillsA proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detailThe ability to build relationships with senior stakeholdersA genuine interest in developing people and improving financial processesWhat you'll get in returnThis is an excellent opportunity to take on a highly visible Financial Controller position within an established international business.
