We pioneered the Apgar score for assessing newborn health, were the first in the nation to perform an amniocentesis test, and developed RhoGAM, which has nearly eliminated Rh-incompatibility reactions that once caused hundreds of fetal and neonatal deaths annually. Situated in the heart of CUIMC's dynamic medical community, over 100 physicians and more than 40 post-graduate residents and fellows collaborate with researchers and clinicians to address women's health care needs.
