Jacquard CAD Designer / Weave Technician

Location: Amritsar, Punjab, India

Job Type: Full-time | On-site

Seasons Industries Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Jacquard CAD Designer / Weave Technician to join our woven-textile manufacturing team.

The role involves developing intricate, commercially relevant jacquard designs for scarves, stoles, shawls, suit fabrics, throws, cushions and other woven home-textile products for Indian and European markets. The ideal candidate will combine strong design ability with hands-on knowledge of jacquard weaving, loom requirements and production feasibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original and buyer-led jacquard designs for fashion accessories, furnishing fabrics, throws, cushions and woven home-textile products.
• Translate artwork, moodboards, buyer references and market trends into technically feasible, production-ready jacquard developments.
• Create loom-ready CAD files, jacquard graphs and technical specifications using Arahne or NedGraphics software.
• Develop specifications covering yarn count and quality, colour order, weave structure, repeat size, EPI, PPI, denting, GSM and finishing requirements.
• Create intricate woven patterns including florals, paisleys, checks, stripes, geometric designs and textured surfaces.
• Work closely with weaving, sampling, merchandising and production teams through sample development and bulk production.
• Identify and resolve issues related to float length, motif clarity, fabric density, repeat alignment, colour balance, selvedge quality and general weaving feasibility.
• Develop fabrics that achieve the required texture, drape, durability, weight, handle and reversibility for each product category.
• Maintain organised CAD files, artwork, technical sheets, yarn references and approved sample records.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Design, Textile Technology, Weaving Technology, Fashion/Textile Design, Home Textiles or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years’ experience in jacquard design, jacquard CAD, woven-textile development or weaving technical operations.
• Proficiency in either Arahne or NedGraphics jacquard CAD/CAM software is essential.
• Experience creating loom-ready files for electronic jacquard looms.
• Strong technical understanding of jacquard weaving, including weave structures, warp and weft planning, yarn counts, EPI, PPI, reed/denting, repeats, GSM, yarn colour planning and finishing.
• Experience in woven furnishings or home textiles- particularly throws, cushions, decorative fabrics, blankets or upholstery is highly preferred.
• Ability to develop intricate jacquard patterns while managing float control, fabric stability, weave balance and durability.
• A strong portfolio of jacquard fabrics, woven furnishings, throws, cushions or technically developed woven products is essential.
• Strong attention to detail, colour sensitivity, commercial awareness and ability to work closely with factory teams.
