About The Role

We are looking for a QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) to join Shop Trade's Product Division. You will be responsible for testing our Shopify apps and internal products to ensure new features, fixes, and releases meet the expected quality standards.

You will work closely with developers, project managers, product teams, and IT Ops to identify issues early, validate fixes, and support smooth production releases. This role involves both manual testing and improving automated test coverage.

Duties And Responsibilities

Test new features, bug fixes, and integrations across Shopify apps and internal products. Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test plans. Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence. Investigate reported production issues and assist the team in identifying root causes or workarounds. Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes in QA and staging environments. Ensure all relevant areas are tested before a feature or fix is released to production. Support release testing and coordinate with Engineering and IT Ops during deployments. Build and maintain automated test coverage for key product flows. Use AI-assisted testing tools and automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Clearly communicate testing progress, risks, and release readiness to the relevant teams.

Required Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or functional testing. Experience with functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. Experience writing test cases, test scenarios, and detailed bug reports. Experience using defect tracking and test management tools Understanding of Agile development processes. Experience testing web applications, APIs, and third-party integrations. Familiarity with test automation tools or frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Have

Experience testing Shopify stores, Shopify apps, or other e Commerce products. Experience testing APIs using Postman or a similar tool. Experience with AI-powered testing tools. Experience working with a product team or in an agency environment. Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Java Script, and browser debugging tools.
