BIM Technician

<p>The BIM Technician will work within the BIM department and will report to the BIM Manager. They will work closely with the BIM Coordinators and various project-level management team members. This role will provide day-to-day construction models and related content for use by the project BIM Coordinators(s) and other stakeholders. This position will be a combination of on-site at the project and in the office in Boise, ID. Salary Range: $80,000-$115,000 DOE + Incentives <b>Essential Responsibilities:</b> * Receive, process, and archive model files from designers, project team members, and trade subcontractors. </p><ul><li>Compile and publish federated models using Navisworks Manage.</li><li>Maintain and manage model-building automation tools.</li><li>Facilitate the exchange and coordination of the 3D model with consultants,</li></ul> contractors, and fabricators. * Participate in technological collaboration between project team members, clients, design team members, builders, consultants, subcontractors, and others. * Maintain model libraries throughout the project and create archive record models at completion. <b>Qualifications:</b> Professional Experience and Education * Two to four (2-4) years’ experience in architectural, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry. * Specific experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects is preferred. <ul><li>High School diploma or GED required.</li><li>Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction,</li></ul> or related industry preferred. Position Related Skills * Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams), and have a general understanding of working with a computer network. <ul><li>Proficient in batch file scripting, Python, Dynamo, and BIM Flow(iConstruct).</li><li>Proficient in project management software (Prolog, Procore, E-Builder) and</li></ul> Bluebeam. * Intermediate knowledge of Autodesk's Navisworks Manage, including Clash Detection, Quantification, and Timeliner tools. * Experience with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methods and digital fabrication preferred. * Experience administering and organizing Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and other file sharing platforms. * Experience in organizing technical data neatly and accurately. Familiar with CSI specification system for construction. * Experience with Building Information Model (BIM), AutoCAD, and Navisworks preferred. * Training in design document reading, design specifications, survey theory, and techniques. <ul><li>Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate and present design and/or construction ideas to a</li></ul> variety of audiences. * Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations. * Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress. * Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships. * Ability to work closely with a variety of trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential. * Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership. * Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.
