The OpportunityAs Hale Tori's Controller, you will own the accounting and financial operations foundation that supports the company as we scale.
This position owns end to end accounting, spanning close and reporting, technical accounting, audit, variance reporting, AP, and collections. This would include consolidating the financial result of six legal entities.
This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering with wholesale and retail teams across our brand portfolio. We're looking for someone with strong accounting expertise who is equally comfortable getting into the operational details of how the business works.
Primary ResponsibilitiesDeliver accurate, timely financial information across different levels of stakeholders across an organization, consistentlyOwn Hale Tori's monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across a growing multi-entity organization according to the company’s financial calendarManage external reviews, audits and build the policies, controls, and operating disciplineManage Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableManage the company’s finance & accounting tech stack: Dynamics365, Power BI and RAMP. xzbcwsv Development fluency in Wholesale ERP and Retail CRM systemsCollaborate on Financial Planning & Analysis functions, as and where appropriateLead and elevate the work of the accounting team
Qualifications7+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful ownership of accounting and financial operationsPrevious experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller with significant ownership, or equivalent accounting leadership inside high functioning, dynamic organizationsCPA or equivalent accounting certification preferredExperience leading other financial team members to hit internal delivery dates, while delivering consistent, reliable, quality work products. Experience building and leading accounting and financial operations teamsPrevious experience owning a full accounting close across multiple legal entitiesHands-on experience across AP, billing, collections, and external auditsStrong cross-functional judgment and the ability to communicate complex accounting issues clearly to non-accountantsAbility to operate independently with a focus on process improvement within financial reporting, streamlining month end, quarter end and annual close processesAbility to act entrepreneurially in a dynamic organizationDemonstrated work experience using Dynamics 365 and Power BIDemonstrated ability to think through the treatment of accounting transactions as they flow into the accounting system and are reflected in financial statementsDetail oriented with excellent time management and organization skills
Compensation$120,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience
