About the Role
As a Manager – Design (Creative Strategy & Adoption), you will lead the creative direction for adoption-focused initiatives across branding, launch collateral, educational assets, and engagement campaigns. You will ensure that every artifact is aligned to the appropriate stage of the adoption journey—Excitement, Awareness, Education, and Reinforcement—and is designed to drive measurable outcomes.
The role requires a strong blend of creative strategy, storytelling, stakeholder management, and execution excellence. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to shape narratives, define success metrics, direct creative outputs across formats, and provide strategic guidance that drives adoption and engagement. You will also play a key role in maintaining creative quality, mentoring teams through structured feedback, and continuously improving the effectiveness of campaigns through post-launch learnings.
Responsibilities
Set creative direction across the full adoption artifact range — branding, launch collateral, education assets, engagement campaigns — and hold one consistent creative hand across an engagement even when four or five people are contributing. Map every artifact request to the right adoption stage (Excitement → Awareness → Educate → Reinforce) and reject work that's mis-staged, like a six-feature explainer for an audience still asking "why should I care." Write the POV memo before production starts: who the audience is, the one job the artifact must do, the concept in a paragraph, and why it beats two obvious alternatives. Define the adoption metric for each major artifact — click-through, time-to-first-action, repeat usage, NPS lift — and reverse-engineer the creative from it. Doctor client-supplied scripts and copy: draft your own version from the brief first, then compare, then defend the stronger ground with rationale instead of opinion. Run client conversations with a strategic point of view and push back diplomatically when an ask is tactically wrong, bringing a better alternative rather than an objection. Prep the team for client calls with a one-page brief: who's on the call and what they care about, state of play, relevant industry context, our agenda, and two or three anticipated objections with responses. Direct video and motion work — storyboard before scripting, cap launch videos at 60–90 seconds, write for the ear — and direct print and email work to one idea per piece. Critique work in progress with shared frameworks the team can internalize, not personal taste: what's working, the central issue, two or three specific moves, what to keep sacred. Run post-mortems on shipped campaigns and feed what worked and what didn't back into the team's playbook. Hold the line against "blue corporate." If the work could drop into another client's deck unnoticed, it's too generic.Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Communication Design, or a related field, with 8+ years of experience in creative direction, brand, or content design, preferably in B2 B or enterprise environments. Proven experience leading creative teams and collaborating with consulting, delivery, or customer success functions. Strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling, concept development, launch campaigns, motion/video work, presentations, and content strategy. Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify and strengthen messaging. Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro, with experience directing motion and video projects. Strong interest in analytics and AI products, with the ability to understand business contexts and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to balance leadership and collaboration effectively.Details
