Complex international tax work without the ridiculous hours. Apparently, you can have both.

If you love the technical side of International Tax but could happily live without the late nights, endless deadlines and feeling like your entire life revolves around work, this might be worth your attention.

This Miami CPA firm has around 90 people and has managed to get something right that plenty of much larger firms still struggle with. You can work with interesting international clients, progress your career and actually enjoy your life outside the office.

And having placed a Tax Director here earlier this year, I can tell you it's not just something they say to attract people.

Since joining, they haven't worked more than 50 hours a week during tax season, work from home three days a week and haven't missed a single one of their son's soccer practices.

That probably tells you more about the culture than any benefits brochure ever could.

There's no Private Equity involvement, and there never will be. The Partners are committed to keeping the firm independent and protecting the culture they've built.

Busy season typically sits around 45 to 55 hours, with 55 being the maximum rather than the expectation. You'll have flexible hybrid working, generous PTO, twice yearly bonuses, extra days off around April 15th, July 4th and Thanksgiving, plus a full Christmas and New Year shutdown.

There's also health, dental and vision insurance, a 401k match, life insurance, long term disability cover, new business commissions and referral bonuses.

As International Tax Manager, you'll work with a varied portfolio of clients navigating complex international tax matters, including cross border planning, compliance and structuring. You'll review international tax filings, manage engagements, develop staff and build relationships with clients who value your expertise.

They're looking for someone with strong Public Accounting experience and a solid background in International Tax. Someone who's technically confident, enjoys working directly with clients and wants to keep progressing without getting lost in the hierarchy of a much larger firm.

You'll have direct access to the Partners, plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to progress into Senior Management and beyond.
