Position Summary
Step into a hands-on role that keeps our production operations running at peak
performance. As a Tooling and Inventory Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert
for ensuring every tool, fixture, and supply is ready when needed. You’ll preset
and measure tools using both manual and CNC equipment, sharpen precision
tooling, and help drive continuous improvement across the shop floor. In this
role, you’ll collaborate closely with production teams and procurement, support
high-quality machining work, and contribute directly to the reliability and
efficiency of our operations.
What You Will Do
The Tooling and Inventory Technician oversees the full lifecycle of production
tooling, including setup, measurement, tracking, and maintenance. This role
ensures tooling meets required quality standards, maintains accurate inventory
levels, and supports continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to
quality and productivity. Responsibilities include safely operating tool‑setting
and sharpening equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area,
collaborating effectively with associates and supervisors, promptly reporting
procedural or equipment issues, and performing additional duties as needed to
support smooth production operations.

Pay
Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $46,036 - $76,726. This position is Bonus
eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including
but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and
education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the
anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be
considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant
experience.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a
pre-employment drug test.

employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be
tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to
property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the
employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require
preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to
receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal
government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
