We're Hiring | Linux Enthusiast (Linux System Engineer)
Location: Bengaluru
Work Mode: Work From Office
Experience: 1–3 Years

If Linux is more than just an operating system for you, and you're passionate about troubleshooting, automation, system performance, and open-source technologies, we'd love to have you on our team.As a Linux System Engineer, you will play a key role in building, managing, and optimizing Linux-based infrastructure while ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
• System Administration:Install, configure, and maintain Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Debian across multiple environments.
• Service Management:Deploy, configure, and manage core services including web servers (Nginx), databases (MySQL), caching systems (Redis), and other critical infrastructure services.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Analysis:Monitor system health and diagnose performance issues, including filesystem errors, memory leaks, CPU bottlenecks, and disk I/O issues.
• Network Operations:Apply strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, routing, firewalls (iptables/ufw), ports, subnets, and load balancing to ensure secure and reliable connectivity
.• Automation & Efficiency:Use Bash/Shell scripting and Linux utilities to automate repetitive tasks, streamline operations, and improve infrastructure efficiency
.• Log Monitoring & Incident Prevention:Proactively analyze system and application logs to detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues before they impact users.
• System Security:Implement Linux security best practices, manage user permissions, apply security patches, and harden systems against vulnerabilities.
• Monitoring & Documentation:Monitor infrastructure health, maintain technical documentation, and document troubleshooting procedures and system configurations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in Linux command-line (CLI) and Linux internals.
• Hands-on experience with Ubuntu, CentOS, or Debian.
• Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, routing, ports, subnets, and firewalls.
• Experience with Linux tools such as grep, awk, sed, top/htop, journalctl, systemd, cron, and package management.
• Knowledge of Nginx, MySQL, Redis, and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a root-cause analysis mindset.
• Basic understanding of CPU, memory, storage, virtualization, and system performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Git and Linux system administration best practices.
Bonus Points
• Experience with Docker, Podman, or containerized environments.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as KVM or VMware.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or Zabbix.
• Personal/home lab setups showcasing Linux projects.
• Familiarity with tmux, screen, Vim, or Nano.
• Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
