A private equity-backed manufacturing company is seeking a Head of Accounting to lead the transformation of its accounting and controllership function.

Reporting to the CFO, this newly created role will oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, controls, systems, and process improvement. This is a hands-on opportunity to modernize and scale the function within a growing, acquisitive business.

Location: Cleveland, OH

Compensation: $220,000- 250,000 + bonus

Key Responsibilities

Lead the transformation of the accounting and controllership organizationImprove and standardize monthly/quarterly close and reporting processesOversee technical accounting, U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and external auditLead ERP/system optimization, automation, and process improvementsSupport acquisitions, integration, purchase accounting, and transaction readinessPartner with the CFO, executive leadership, operations, auditors, lenders, and PE sponsorBuild, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive accounting/controllership experiencePrior Controller, CAO, VP Accounting, or similar senior leadership experienceIndustry experience xzbcwsv is required; PE-backed, manufacturing and/or distributionStrong U.S. GAAP and technical accounting expertiseProven track record transforming accounting/controllership functionsExperience with ERP implementations, system optimization, and automationStrong background in controls, reporting, and audit
