Fund Accountant

Position - Finance Manager Location - Mumbai Year of Experience - 5 -8 years Mandatory Requirement: CA/MBA with 5–8 years of experience in fund accounting, and regulatory compliance. Working experience with AIF. About the client: A leading India-focused private equity investment platform with a strong track record of partnering with high-growth businesses across diverse sectors. The firm focuses on creating long-term value through strategic investments and active portfolio management. Roles and Responsibilities: o Managing accounting and financial operations of the fund, overseeing the preparation and distribution of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to investors and regulatory bodies. o Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including tax laws, SEBI laws, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). o Managing the accounting operations of the fund, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliation, preparation and review of accounting books. o Assisting in and ensuring timely audit closures including valuations of the portfolio companies o Providing full back office support in execution of the investment transaction regarding the purchase, sale, or retention of investments. o Identifying and managing financial risks associated with the fund's investments, including credit, market, and liquidity risks. o Managing external service providers for fund accounting, custody and investor relations services o Addressing queries from the investors of the fund and building a strong relationship with them o Providing financial insights and analysis to support business decisions. Qualification and experience: CA / MBA in Finance 5 years of experience in AIF or related industry
