The opportunity
Workplace IT provides Co-Managed IT Services aligned to the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF), alongside Digital Safeguarding services, to Health, Social Care, Housing, Public Sector, SEN Education and Not-for-Profit organisations across the UK and Ireland.
We are evolving from a sector-specialist Managed Service Provider into a Digital Assurance and Digital Safeguarding business. Over the next 12 months, we will develop our services, brand, leadership capability, operating model and team.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Executive Assistant to take a central role in the governance of this transformation.
Working closely with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, you will hold leaders to account for their objectives, maintain clear visibility of progress and risk, and ensure decisions and commitments are translated into clear actions and delivered outcomes.
The role combines senior executive support with governance, transformation coordination and operational oversight in a growing, entrepreneurial business.
Your responsibilities
Govern the Senior Leadership Team's objectives and 30/60/90-day plans, holding leaders to account for progress, evidence, commitments and agreed outcomes
Run the Senior Leadership Team operating cycle, including weekly leadership reviews, monthly client performance reviews, executive information packs, actions and follow-through
Track execution of the business plan, providing the Managing Director with concise reporting on progress, emerging risks, priorities and areas requiring intervention
Coordinate leadership governance, ensuring decisions are properly recorded, actions are owned and commitments are tracked through to completion
Translate developing priorities and ideas into structured plans with clear ownership, milestones and deadlines
Coordinate key people and growth governance, including recruitment, onboarding, probation reviews and pay-band review cycles
Maintain effective executive escalation disciplines, ensuring operational matters remain with the appropriate accountable leader and professionally challenging where commitments or deadlines are at risk
Prepare concise, decision-ready briefings for significant customer, prospect and leadership meetings
Identify and implement opportunities to use Microsoft 365, AI and automation to improve executive reporting, governance, information flow and administrative processes
Oversee the effective operation of the King's Lynn office and coordinate health and safety and compliance requirements
Manage the Managing Director's diary, email and travel arrangements, ensuring time is aligned to the priorities of the business and geography of travel
About you
You will be an accomplished Executive Assistant with experience supporting a Managing Director, Chief Executive or senior leadership team.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have supported growth, transformation or organisational change within a small to medium-sized business environment, where success requires commercial awareness, judgement, adaptability and the confidence to work across different areas of the organisation.
You will bring:
Experience of business governance, programme coordination or tracking strategic objectives
Experience preparing and coordinating senior leadership meetings, data, decisions and actions
The confidence and credibility to hold senior colleagues to account for commitments and deadlines
The ability to turn complex or fast-moving discussions into clear actions, owners and deadlines
Strong commercial awareness, judgement and discretion
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn detail into concise executive reporting
Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with practical experience of using AI tools
Experience coordinating complex travel and itineraries across the UK and Ireland
The ability to operate and control effectively in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities develop quickly
What we offer
