Your Role at KIK Join our team as a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician (Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:30pm with OT on weekends as needed). In this role you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements. You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant. This position has an hourly rate ranging from $30.00 - $33.00 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential for hours worked after 1st shift. The compensation is negotiable based upon a candidate’s experience and skill set. What You’ll Be Doing * Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned area with minimal supervision
- Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Experience with troubleshooting bottling, filling equipment and gantry
- Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner
- Perform general electrical repairs including wire connections, relays,
- Perform preventative maintenance, and safety inspections
- Modify, repair, install and troubleshoot various conveyor systems including
- Diagnose, rebuild, troubleshoot and replace various pump types
- Experience with using CMMS and documenting emergency and planned work and
- Setup, takedown, and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment
- Frequently modify packaging & process equipment for new products
- Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems.
- Experience with general shop tools and fabrication including use of grinders,
- Lifting, twisting, carrying up to 45 lbs. is a requirement of the position
- Working in non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments
- Possibility of working around high noise levels, depending on location
- Be able to wear full face respirator as necessary
- Must be able to work in accordance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent Interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Time Management and Organization; Ability to multi-task and react to changing
- Occasionally exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force (up to 1/3 of the time).
- Frequently applying 10 to 25 pounds of force (from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time).
