A growing and well-established intellectual property boutique law firm is seeking a Trademark Paralegal to join its Chicago team. This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with experienced IP attorneys and shareholders while supporting a sophisticated domestic and international trademark practice.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare, file, and maintain U.S. trademark applications and related USPTO filingsSupport domestic and international trademark prosecution mattersPrepare trademark renewals, declarations, assignments, and post-registration filingsMonitor trademark docketing systems and maintain critical deadlinesReview USPTO correspondence and assist with responsesCoordinate international filings and communications with foreign counselConduct trademark searches and prepare portfolio reportsMaintain trademark records and case filesAssist with TTAB-related opposition, cancellation, and enforcement mattersSupport trademark billing, reporting, and related administrative functions
Qualifications2-5+ years of trademark prosecution experienceStrong knowledge of USPTO procedures and trademark filing requirementsExperience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with trademark docketing systems and IP management software preferredStrong organizational, communication, and time-management skillsParalegal certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree preferred
