Job Description

Customer Success Engineer

GoDoug | Greater Indianapolis | Full-time, Hybrid

$80,000–$100,000 base salary + equity participation

Help great operators run better stores.

Business owners can’t be everywhere. GoDoug helps them see what they’re missing—and do something about it.

We turn existing store cameras and operational data into human-verified metrics that reveal missed customers, service delays, and opportunities to improve. Then we help operators turn those findings into better coaching, stronger teams, and better results.

We’re hiring a Customer Success Engineer to own that last—and essential—step: helping customers turn GoDoug’s capabilities into measurable value.

As an early employee, you’ll work directly with the founders, influence the product, and build the customer success practices that grow with the company. You’ll also participate in our Equity Incentive Plan, giving you a stake in what we’re building together.

The opportunity:

Know the product deeply. Earn the customer’s trust. Help them get results.

You’ll own the customer experience from onboarding through ongoing adoption and performance improvement. You’ll also partner with our Account Executive to demonstrate the platform, explore customer needs, and answer the technical questions that help buyers move forward.

This role combines technical curiosity, analytical thinking, and strong relationships. You should enjoy digging into a dashboard, figuring out what the numbers mean, and explaining what a business owner should do next.

What you’ll own:

  • Getting customers to value. Lead onboarding, coordinate setup with our technical team, and keep implementations moving.
  • Product expertise. Learn the platform deeply enough to answer detailed questions, troubleshoot issues, and uncover new ways customers can use it.
  • Adoption across the business. Train owners, district managers, and store teams to make GoDoug part of their daily operations.
  • Turning data into action. Find meaningful trends, recommend specific changes, and follow up on results.
  • Customer relationships. Lead check-ins and performance reviews that end with clear priorities, next steps, and accountability.
  • Technical sales support. Deliver tailored demos and help prospects understand how GoDoug fits their operations.
  • Problem resolution. Investigate issues, work with engineering, and keep customers informed through resolution.
  • Building the playbook. Create repeatable onboarding processes, training materials, and customer success practices.
  • Making the product better. Bring clear customer feedback to the founders and engineering team to help shape what we build next.

What you bring:

  • Experience in customer success, implementation, solutions consulting, sales engineering, or another customer-facing technology role.
  • The curiosity and initiative to learn complex software independently.
  • Confidence working with dashboards, spreadsheets, and business performance metrics.
  • The ability to turn a complicated finding into a clear explanation and a practical next step.
  • Strong organization and follow-through across multiple customers and projects.
  • Comfort taking ownership when the process hasn’t been written yet—and the judgment to ask for help when needed.

Experience with SaaS, analytics, automotive service, or multi-location businesses is valuable. We care more about demonstrated ability than a particular degree or previous job title. Software development experience is not required.

Why join GoDoug now?

  • Competitive salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Equity participation: An equity award through GoDoug’s Equity Incentive Plan, with grant size and vesting terms specified in your offer and award documents.
  • Direct access to the founders: Your observations and recommendations will reach the people making product and business decisions.
  • Room to build: Help define how we onboard, support, and grow our customer relationships.
  • Room to grow: Take on broader responsibility as the company expands.

Where we work:

This is a hybrid role with two in-person days per week on Indianapolis’s northside . We currently meet at COhatch locations in Zionsville, Carmel, and Broad Ripple while we determine our permanent office location.

Show us how you think:

Apply with your résumé and a brief example of a time you learned a complex product, solved a customer problem, or used data to improve a business outcome.

Help our customers succeed. Help shape what GoDoug becomes.
