JV Ventures · India
Job Description
Company Description JV Ventures, founded in 2015, focuses on nurturing innovative concepts and transforming them into scalable, high-impact enterprises. With 20 ventures, 320+ team members, and $550M+ assets under management, the organization operates across education, life sciences, healthcare, and experience-focused habitat platforms. Its PowerEd, PoweRx, PowerCare and PowerPod platforms provide integrated infrastructure, services, and ecosystem-building solutions. JV Ventures is supported by specialized enablers in middle-office, coworking, and land services, creating a robust environment for sustainable growth and execution-focused ventures.
Role purpose
The Associate – Projects & Design will support the end-to-end delivery of build-out projects across JV Ventures' GRIDs in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Visakhapatnam — from design coordination and technical detailing through PMC oversight, site execution, quality checks and handover. This is a hands-on, learning-oriented role for an early-career professional from a building engineering, architecture or construction management background who wants to build deep, on-ground delivery experience on large-scale research and manufacturing infrastructure.
The Associate will work closely with the Projects & Build-outs team, design consultants, contractors and vendors, and will be expected to grow quickly into independently owning defined workstreams and smaller build-out projects of JV Ventures.
Key responsibilities
1. Design & technical support
- Assist in developing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications and BOQs for warm-shell-to-lab conversions, manufacturing facility build-outs and GCC fit-outs.
- Support design coordination between clients/residents, architects and MEP consultants, and JV Ventures' internal design and delivery teams.
- Help translate resident/client requirements into workable design and build-out plans aligned with JV Ventures' Grade-A specifications.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation, drawings and technical files across active build-outs.
2. Project execution & site coordination
- Support planning and tracking of project timelines, resources and deliverables across assigned build-out projects.
- Coordinate with site teams, vendors and contractors to keep build-outs on schedule and support the target of reducing time-to-operations.
- Monitor on-site progress, flag risks or delays early, and support timely resolution of technical or execution issues.
- Assist with site visits, inspections and progress reporting, including travel across campuses and project sites as required.
3. Quality, compliance & handover
- Support quality checks during construction and fit-out to ensure adherence to specifications, life-safety systems and campus standards (power, HVAC, discharge treatment).
- Support regulatory and compliance-driven execution, including inputs toward GMP/GLP qualification readiness where applicable.
- Help prepare handover documentation, including as-built drawings, quality records and completion reports.
- Escalate quality or compliance concerns to senior project team members in a timely manner.
4. Procurement & commercial support
- Support vendor-neutral procurement coordination, including vendor follow-ups, material tracking and basic cost/billing documentation.
- Assist in maintaining project cost trackers and supporting inputs for budgeting and billing cycles.
5. Stakeholder coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams (design, PMC, operations) and external stakeholders (residents, consultants, contractors) to keep build-outs moving smoothly.
- Maintain clear, professional communication and follow-up across all project stakeholders.
Candidate profile
Education
- Master's degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction/Project Management from a reputed institute such as SPA (School of Planning and Architecture), CEPT University, NIT Calicut, or an equivalent institution.
Experience
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in building engineering, design coordination, project execution or site management, across institutional, laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or fit-out projects.
- Exposure to technical drawings, BOQs, specifications and basic project scheduling.
- Familiarity with civil, architectural and basic MEP coordination is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or other relevant design/drafting tools; good working knowledge of MS Excel and documentation.
Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and ownership of assigned deliverables.
- Good communication and stakeholder-coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to project and client sites as required.
- Telugu speaking is required, given the candidate-facing and on-site stakeholder coordination nature of the role; working proficiency in English is also essential.
- This is an immediate requirement; preference will be given to candidates who are immediate joiners or can join within 30 days.
- A builder's mindset — comfortable working hands-on in a growing, fast-paced function.
- Ability to learn quickly and take on greater independent ownership over time.
Role requisites
- Position will be based full-time in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), Hyderabad, Bengaluru or Chennai, based on project assignment, with travel across campuses and project sites as required.
- An opportunity to build hands-on project delivery experience on a fast-growing life sciences infrastructure platform, at a pivotal juncture in JV Ventures' expansion across its GRID locations, working closely with the Projects & Build-outs team and senior leadership.
- Compensation will be aligned to experience and qualification, to be discussed during the process.
- This description sets the core mandate and may evolve with business priorities.
