- .6 FTE (48 hours per two-week pay period)
- 8-hour day shifts from 8:00AM - 4:30PM
- No weekends
- Rare occurrence to float to Plymouth West Health
- Assessment, Diagnosis, Outcome Identification, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation
- Manages patient care with clinic encounters by utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary oncology care team members, along with internal and external ancillary partners, in a demanding environment.
- Dedicated to the growth and development of the Allina Health Cancer Institute, incorporating evidence-based practice initiatives that align with regulatory and organizational standards of care (ONS, NCCN, COC, etc.).
- Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating, and evaluating the patient’s care needs.
- Focuses on patients receiving care in a specialized outpatient (inpatient-rad/onc. only) care setting, playing a critical role in coordination and delegation of care. Individuals in this role will work in an outpatient clinic setting.
- May support the team as a preceptor when assigned.

- Associate's or Vocational degree Accredited School of Nursing
- 1+ years inpatient or outpatient oncology nursing experience, or if no oncology experience must have 2+ years nursing experience in an ambulatory or hospital care setting
- Bachelor's degree Accredited School of Nursing
- 2+ years Chemotherapy experience (for Medical Oncology RN positions)
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required
- Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required upon hire if providing care in the state of WI; if providing care to patients over the phone, through e-visits, virtual visits, or medical messages for patients located in WI, then required within 90 days of hire
- For Radiation Oncology Clinic, St. Paul Campus: Specialty Certification within 18 months required
- Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
- Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
