Job DetailsJob Location: Luce St - Houston, TX 77087Position Type: Full TimeHunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, Tx, is seeking to fill a Rental Operations Manager to join the team. The Rental Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of Hunton Rental Solutions (HRS), ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of temporary HVAC, power generation, and specialty equipment solutions. This role oversees dispatch, logistics, fleet readiness, shop operations, field service coordination, customer support, and operational personnel. Come work for an Industry Leader that has been recognized both locally and nationally as a Top Place to Work! Operational Leadership Manage all daily rental operations for assigned branch or region. Lead Operations Coordinators, Dispatchers, Shop Supervisors, Field Supervisors, and Logistics personnel. Ensure equipment is delivered, installed, serviced, and demobilized safely and on schedule. Develop operating procedures that improve efficiency and consistency. Coordinate resources to support emergency response and planned projects. Maintain operational readiness for 24/7 customer support. Fleet Management Maintain maximum fleet availability. Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules with Fleet and Service departments. Monitor fleet utilization and idle equipment. Ensure equipment inspections are completed before and after each rental. Oversee equipment staging and preparation. Minimize downtime through proactive maintenance planning. Coordinate capital equipment deployment across multiple branches. Rental Project Execution Review project requirements prior to mobilization. Coordinate labor, transportation, cranes, permits, and subcontractors. Ensure equipment packages are complete before shipment. Verify proper documentation accompanies every rental. Monitor project progress from mobilization through demobilization. Resolve operational issues quickly to minimize customer impact. Logistics & Transportation Oversee dispatch activities. Optimize truck routing and scheduling. Coordinate outside transportation providers. Minimize freight costs. Manage emergency deliveries and after-hours response. Personnel Management Recruit, interview, and hire operational personnel. Support in the development of employee training plans. Conduct performance reviews. Mentor supervisors and coordinators. Manage staffing levels. Schedule overtime appropriately. Build a high-performance, accountable team culture. Safety Leadership Promote a strong safety culture. Ensure OSHA compliance. Enforce PPE requirements. Conduct safety meetings. Investigate incidents. Implement corrective actions. Monitor vehicle and equipment safety inspections. Customer Service Maintain strong customer relationships. Resolve operational issues quickly. Participate in project kickoff meetings. Conduct post-project reviews. Ensure customer expectations are exceeded. Support key account initiatives. Financial Responsibilities Manage operational budgets. Control labor costs. Monitor overtime. Reduce transportation expenses. Improve fleet utilization. Reduce repair expenses. Assist with capital planning. Review operational profitability. Continuous Improvement Identify operational bottlenecks. Improve processes using Lean principles. Standardize operating procedures. Implement KPIs and dashboards. Lead operational improvement initiatives. QualificationsQualifications 8–10 years of progressively responsible operations experience. 5+ years of management experience. Experience in equipment rental, industrial services, HVAC, power generation, heavy equipment, or construction. Strong financial acumen. Experience managing budgets and P&L. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Proficiency with ERP and rental management software (e.g., WennSoft, RentalMan, Texada, or similar). Microsoft Office proficiency.
