About the roleApex Marketing Group is headquartered in Tampa, FL. We are looking for a one person marketing department who can take the wheel and run. You will own graphic design, social media, and tradeshow execution across AMG and Astro Leaf, our new tobacco leaf wrap brand. Our Instagram, TikTok, and X pages are set up and ready, and you will launch them from zero.We are being upfront: this role wears many hats. You will design your own graphics, run the socials, work our tradeshows, and support the brand wherever marketing is needed. The pay reflects that. This is not a role where someone hands you a brief for every task. We want someone who understands the business and creates proactively.
What you will doLead tradeshow marketing. Take our existing Tradeshow SOP, follow it, and improve it with your own ideas for promotion, booth presence, and follow up. Create teasers and countdown content before each show and cover the booth live.Design graphics and marketing assets in house, including flyers, promotional graphics, and point of sale (POS) materials. Help source and manage production of POS materials when needed.Build and run the Astro Leaf presence on Instagram, TikTok, and X, with a clear content calendar and consistent posting.Shoot and edit your own Reels, short videos, and static images covering product, lifestyle, events, and locations.Source, vet, and recruit creators and influencers to feature our brands organically. Present candidates and proposed rates to leadership for approval.Engage with the community daily: reply to comments and DMs, interact with fan and creator posts, and use social listening to track mentions and trends. Replies follow a brand voice you will refine with leadership, who are available daily for tone guidance.Design, update, and help renovate our website.Report monthly on growth, engagement, community sentiment, and creator performance, starting at the 60 day mark, and adjust strategy from the data.
Compliance, built into everything you doAstro Leaf is a tobacco product, so compliance is part of every task, not a separate duty.Paid promotion of tobacco is not allowed on social platforms, so organic content, community, and creator partnerships are our growth channels.Follow platform rules, age gating, health warning standards, and FTC disclosure requirements on every account, with a plan to protect and recover accounts.Keep community replies compliant: no sales or purchase links, and no engagement with anyone who is under 21.Apply the same standards to event content, creator partnerships, POS materials, and website work.
What we are looking for3+ years running brand social media, with results you can show.A portfolio of your own graphic design and short form video work, and the results it drove.Experience working tradeshows, events, or brand activations.Experience sourcing and managing creator partnershipsStrong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and X policies for restricted products.Experience in community management and social listening, with a strong feel for brand voice.Website design or renovation skills.Self managed, reliable, and fast, with the judgment to protect the brand.
Nice to haveFamiliarity with wholesale, convenience, or smoke shop industries, and experience sourcing print or POS materials.
Location and travelThis is an in person, in house role at our Tampa, FL headquarters. It includes travel to tradeshows around the US throughout the year. When we ask you to attend, all travel expenses are covered by the company.
