IP Associate Attorney or Patent Agent – Electrical or Computer Arts

Our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice Group works with a broad range of clients, from early-stage companies to Fortune 100 corporations, across a variety of industries including artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, telecommunications, and semiconductors, among others. As an IP Associate Attorney or Patent Agent, you will help clients secure patent protection and provide strategic intellectual property counsel related to their innovations. Position Details:Partner with the D&M team and in-house teams to develop and execute thoughtful and effective global IP strategiesDraft and prosecute patent applicationsDraft opinions of counselConduct due diligence investigations and perform freedom-to-operate and landscape analyses
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics, with relevant experience in related technologiesMust be a member of the U.S. patent barMinimum of 2+ years of high-volume patent drafting and prosecution experience required; experience within a law firm environment is strongly preferred

Salary Range:The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for attorney positions is $170,000-$230,000, or $90,000-$165,000 for patent agent roles.
