Job Title: Senior Java Developer – Microservices | Kafka | Azure

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with deep expertise in Microservices architecture , Apache Kafka , and Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 12 years of backend development experience and will be responsible for building scalable, cloud-native, event-driven applications. This is a contractual position requiring candidates to work from office at any of our pan-India locations .

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust, scalable Java-based microservices .
• Integrate and manage Apache Kafka for real-time messaging and event streaming.
• Deploy and manage services on Azure Cloud , using Azure-native services (App Services, AKS, Functions, etc.).
• Collaborate with solution architects and DevOps teams on cloud infrastructure and microservices design.
• Write clean, maintainable code and ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions.
• Debug production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11+ , Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
• Proven experience designing and building Microservices .
• Deep knowledge of Apache Kafka – producers, consumers, stream processing.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure – services like Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Cosmos DB, etc.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth2/JWT, and API gateways.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD , Git , and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, or Kafka Streams.
• Familiarity with observability tools – Prometheus, ELK, App Insights, etc.
• Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
