Location: San Diego, CA (onsite)
Pay: $90 - 120/hr (Compensation can vary depending on experience)
General Overview
We are seeking an experience OT Cybersecurity Engineer to support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of industrial network security monitoring solutions within a critical infrastructure environment. This person will bring hands-on experience with Dragos along with a strong understanding of industrial networking, asset visibility, and operational security.
Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and administer OT security monitoring platforms to improve visibility into industrial network environments. Support the installation and integration of monitoring sensors and related hardware across operational technology networks. Analyze network traffic, identify potential security concerns, and assist with monitoring and protection of industrial assets. Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity, traffic mirroring, segmentation, and related infrastructure components. Collaborate with network engineering and OT operations teams to coordinate deployments, planned changes, and implementation activities.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, industrial networking, or a related network security discipline. 2+ years of hands-on experience with hands-on Dragos deployment or administration. Experience with OT monitoring platforms and asset visibility solutions, such as Dragos, Forescout, Claroty, or Nozomi. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, network segmentation, and SPAN/TAP traffic mirroring. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, including Modbus, DNP2, and IEC 61850.Understanding of cybersecurity requirements within critical infrastructure, utilities, or other industrial environments. Experience coordinating technical deployments, managing network or system changes, and maintaining implementation documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Dragos platform certification or completion of formal Dragos training. Experience installing and configuring industrial-grade or ruggedized network sensor hardware in field environment. Previous collaboration with cybersecurity vendors or professional services teams during platform deployments. Familiarity with OT security frameworks and standards, including IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82.Working knowledge of Linux administration, command-line troubleshooting, and software installation. xzbcwsv Experience supporting security monitoring implementations within utility or critical infrastructure networks.
