Providence Development Services supports large-scale industrial and infrastructure development. Our owner team coordinates land, design, utilities, commercial requirements and delivery partners to turn complex development plans into executable projects.The roleBuild and run the accounting and financial-control process for the development business. Personally manage close, cash visibility, commitments and entity reporting while coordinating tax and finance advisers. Initially reports to the President; planned reporting is to the Chief Financial Officer.ResponsibilitiesEstablish the chart of accounts, entity records and month-end close calendar.Reconcile cash, intercompany balances, project commitments and financial statements.Implement invoice approvals, payment controls and audit-ready documentation.Prepare cash forecasts, funding requests and management reporting.Coordinate payroll, tax, insurance accounting and external advisers.Develop accounting staff and hand off work as transaction volume grows.Minimum qualificationsAt least 8 years of relevant experience in accounting with multi-entity or project-based responsibilities, or a demonstrably equivalent record of responsibility and results.Owned month-end close and financial statements for multiple entities or project-based operations.Implemented cash, payment and accounting controls.Can reconcile project costs and commitments to the general ledger and cash forecast.Relevant education, technical training or equivalent practical experience sufficient to perform the role.Ability to meet the role’s work-location and travel requirements, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.Preferred qualificationsActive CPA license.Experience with development entities, construction draws and implementing an accounting platform.Initial prioritiesEstablish the entity accounting structure and opening reconciliations.Implement the close, payment approval and cash forecast process.Deliver a reliable management package and commitments reconciliation.Develop monthly reporting structure and process.Work arrangementCarmel, Indiana, with regular office collaboration and project travel.
