Job Description
The Interior Designer Intern will support the Corporate Administration & Facilities team in planning, designing, and executing workplace interior projects across Nuvama offices. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to space planning, workplace design, project coordination, vendor management, and site execution while ensuring that projects align with organizational standards, timelines, and budgets.
Duration – 1 Year
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Interior Design & Space Planning
Assist in preparing space planning layouts, furniture plans, and design concepts for office interiors.
Support the development of mood boards, material selections, and interior design presentations. Prepare design drawings, layouts, and presentation documents based on project requirements.
Ensure designs comply with workplace standards, safety guidelines, and organizational requirements.
2. Project Coordination & Site Execution
Assist in coordinating interior fit-out projects, office renovations, and workspace upgrades.
Participate in site visits to monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are maintained. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders during project execution.
Track project timelines and support timely completion of assigned activities.
3. Vendor & Material Management
Assist in sourcing furniture, fixtures, finishes, and interior materials.
Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotations, samples, and technical specifications.
Maintain documentation related to vendor communications, material approvals, and project records.
Support quality checks for materials delivered at project sites.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare project documentation, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), material schedules, and progress reports.
Maintain updated project drawings, layouts, and design revisions.
Assist in preparing presentations and MIS reports for project reviews and management updates.
5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to design specifications, workplace standards, and safety guidelines.
Support quality inspections during project execution and report deviations for corrective action. Assist in maintaining organized project records and documentation for future reference.
Qualification:
Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Diploma in Interior Design candidates with strong design skills may also apply.
