Senior Accountant

Company Description Urban Interiors Design is an interior design studio specializing in end-to-end design and project management for residential and commercial spaces. The company delivers turnkey fit-outs, coordinating all aspects from planning to final installation to ensure cohesive, high-quality results. Its teams work closely with clients to provide bespoke joinery solutions tailored to specific functional and aesthetic requirements. Urban Interiors Design also manages MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) contracting, enabling integrated, well-coordinated project delivery under one roof. Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. This role will prepare and review financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and monitor project-level costs to ensure accurate financial reporting for design, fit-out, and contracting activities. The Senior Accountant will manage tax compliance, coordinate with external auditors, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. Collaboration with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making is a key part of this position. Qualifications Strong skills in general accounting, including ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Knowledge of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit coordination. Experience with accounting software and ERP tools, and good Excel skills. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to interpret financial data for management. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project, operations, and leadership teams. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced project environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or CPA equivalent) are an advantage. Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, ideally within construction, interior design, or project-based industries.
