Visiting Faculty – School of Animation

Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Visiting Faculty – School of Animation with strong expertise in manual and digital drawing, 2 D animation, storyboarding, and concept development. The ideal candidate should have relevant industry experience and an interest in mentoring and guiding students in their creative and technical development.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions on Manual and Digital Drawing, Sketching, and 2 D Animation.

* Guide students in developing their skills in drawing, digital art, concept art, and visual storytelling.

* Teach and mentor students in script writing and storyboarding.

* Help students understand and apply industry-relevant techniques and creative processes.

* Conduct practical assignments, projects, and evaluations.

* Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their artistic and technical skills.

* Bring relevant industry practices, examples, and insights into the classroom.

* Support students in developing portfolios and animation projects where required.

* Maintain a professional and collaborative academic environment.

Required Qualification & Experience

* Graduate / Post Graduate in Animation, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Design, or a relevant discipline.

* Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience.

* Strong expertise in Manual and Digital Drawing and Sketching.

* Good knowledge of Script Writing, Storyboarding, and Concept Art.

* Hands-on knowledge of Digital Art and 2 D Animation.

* Proficiency in Adobe Animate will be an added advantage.

* Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

* Candidates should be willing to contribute as an academician and mentor students.

Preferred Skills

* Strong understanding of fundamentals of drawing and visual composition.

* Knowledge of animation principles and 2 D animation workflows.

* Ability to demonstrate concepts through practical examples and projects.

* Creative approach with the ability to encourage students' artistic development.

* Industry exposure and a strong professional portfolio will be an advantage.
