Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate ( loves the work they do), dedicated, and energetic Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team in Spring Valley, California. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists in a small privately owned outpatient orthopedic practice. We also provide aquatic therapy. We promote a very exercise based program with manual therapy, and modalities as needed.
We offer:
- a starting salary of $30 - $38 per hour (commensurate with your experience)
- a 32 hour work week ( three full days and one half day)

Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans for diverse patient populations.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions such as physiotherapy techniques, manual therapy and other modalities to promote healing and functional recovery.
- Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions accurately, and communicate updates to the healthcare team.
- Support discharge planning by preparing patients for instruction on a independent home program, sx management, and activity modification techniques.
- Provide patient care in various environments outpatient clinic, and pool which is off site.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and relevant clinical procedures to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery.
Qualifications
- Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state regulations, CPR certification.
- Proven experience working in outpatient settings, aquatic experience desired, not mandatory we are willing to train.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy principles.
- Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques preferred: joint mobilization, STM, PNF. Use of modalities: US/ES, IFC, EMS, KT and McConnel taping techniques.
- Knowledge of care plans development and discharge planning processes.
- Familiarity with treating diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics is highly desirable.
