10 South Adult Acute Care:

10 South at UPMC Montefiore is a 30-bed acuity-adaptable medical unit. We see a general medical patient population as well as overflow patients from orthopedics, ENT, hepatology, urology, and abdominal transplant. This is a team-driven unit, and we see a diverse population of patients at various levels of acuity, making 10 South a great fit for graduate nurses and nurses seeking to gain inpatient experience and/or expand their clinical knowledge.

The division of Adult Acute Care is the single largest group to admit patients to the general medicine service at UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore Hospitals! Our General Medicine patient population is comprised of patients of all ages being treated for a wide array of conditions who need compassionate and expert nursing care.

Shifts/Hours: Our RNs work a rotating 12-hour schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.
