Substation Engineer

Direct placement with a leading North American infrastructure engineering and construction company that builds, installs, maintains, and upgrades critical systems across energy, utilities, communications, and heavy civil markets This position sits remote with minor travel throughout the year up to 20-25%. Travel will be for 1-3 days onsite at the project. Key Responsibilities: Perform preliminary and detailed structural engineering design for substation, utility, and power infrastructure projects. Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations to ensure safe and reliable performance. Design and evaluate equipment support structures, foundations, steel structures, concrete structures, and other project-specific structural components. Develop design criteria, engineering specifications, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation. Prepare engineering layouts and markups and provide technical direction to CAD/design technicians.
