About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Interior Design Faculty to join our academic team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate should have strong industry knowledge, excellent design skills, and the ability to mentor and guide students through studio projects, design development, and academic activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Interior Design, Space Planning, Design Principles, Materials, Furniture, Lighting, and Sustainable Design .
• Plan and deliver lectures, studio sessions, assignments, and project-based learning.
• Guide students through interior design projects and provide constructive feedback to enhance creativity, critical thinking, and design innovation.
• Develop and update syllabi, lesson plans, and course materials in line with industry trends and academic requirements.
• Mentor students and support their academic, creative, and career development.
• Encourage participation in design exhibitions, competitions, workshops, cultural events, and institutional activities .
• Contribute to curriculum development and introduce contemporary design practices and technologies.
• Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices .
• Participate in departmental meetings, student outreach, recruitment, and other academic initiatives.

Qualifications

• B.Des./M.Des. in Interior Design or a related discipline ; PhD is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Interior Design .
• Prior teaching experience in Interior Design or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of space planning, materials, furniture, lighting, color theory, and interior detailing .
• Strong communication, presentation, mentoring, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and industry professionals.
