Job Title: Assistant Manager – Government Partnerships & S2P Implementation

Position Overview
This is a Government Partnerships and S2P (Student to Professional) Implementation Role. You will be responsible for strengthening AUEF’s engagement with government departments, DIETs, schools and PU colleges to enable effective implementation and scale-up of the Students to Professionals (S2P) Career Planning Program.
You will work closely with government stakeholders to translate program vision, government priorities and commitments into effective implementation and measurable student impact across schools and PU colleges.
You will play a critical role in strengthening the Government–AUEF partnership and ensuring that implementation learning, field insights and evidence of impact are systematically captured and translated into stronger processes, tools and scalable models for S2P. The ultimate focus of the role will be to ensure that government partnerships lead to better program delivery, stronger institutional ownership and meaningful outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities
Government Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
● Work closely from government offices and with relevant officials to understand priorities, resolve implementation issues and enable smooth execution of S2P.
● Act as a primary point of contact for government departments, DIETs and other institutional stakeholders, ensuring timely communication, coordination and follow-up.
● Participate in government meetings, reviews and consultations, communicate the S2P vision and build support for its integration within existing systems.
● Work closely with government officials and field-level structures to monitor progress, identify gaps, resolve challenges and ensure agreed actions are completed.
● Enable government stakeholders to actively participate in S2P implementation and gradually take greater responsibility for the program, so that it becomes part of their existing processes and practices.
● Facilitate periodic meetings and reporting with senior government officials, presenting progress, field insights, challenges and recommendations to strengthen implementation and scale.
S2P (Student to Professional) Implementation & Field Monitoring
● Spend significant time in schools and PU colleges to monitor S2P implementation, support teams and ensure quality program delivery.
● Deliver S2P training and sessions for teachers, principals, lecturers and other stakeholders, adapting content to different audiences and contexts.
● Monitor program delivery, student engagement, teacher participation and institutional adoption across schools and PU colleges.
● Identify systemic, institutional and operational challenges and work with stakeholders to develop practical solutions that improve program quality and student impact.
DIET Coordination & Capacity Building
● Build effective working relationships with DIET Principals, faculty and District Career Guidance Cells to strengthen S2P and career guidance implementation.
● Support orientations, training and knowledge-sharing for DIETs, teachers, principals and other implementation stakeholders.
● Identify opportunities for DIETs and government institutions to take greater ownership of S2P implementation and sustain the intervention beyond AUEF support.
Action Research, Learning & Impact
● Systematically capture what is working, what is not working and why across schools, PU colleges and DIETs, using field insights to strengthen implementation.
● Monitor implementation outcomes and emerging evidence of student, teacher and institutional impact.
● Translate field learning, successful practices and solutions into SOPs, tools, guidelines and scalable implementation models.
● Work with internal teams to adapt S2P content, processes and delivery approaches based on evidence and field realities.
Government Communication, Drafting & Advocacy
● Draft formal government letters, proposals, concept notes, meeting minutes, briefs and follow-up communications in Kannada and English.
● Develop clear and compelling PPTs for government reviews, stakeholder meetings, training and program advocacy.
● Use program data, field insights and impact evidence to communicate progress, challenges, recommendations and support required from the government.
● Represent AUEF and the S2P vision confidently and professionally in government and institutional forums.
Scaling & Program Management
● Use implementation learning, stakeholder feedback and evidence of impact to identify what is required to strengthen and scale S2P.
● Manage timelines, field activities, stakeholder commitments and internal coordination across multiple geographies.
● Maintain program trackers and prepare regular progress, monitoring and impact reports for internal and government stakeholders.
● Contribute to developing implementation models that can be adopted within government systems and replicated across schools and PU colleges.
Who This Role Would Suit
● Government Partnerships: Experience working with government departments and institutional stakeholders.
● Program Implementation: Experience implementing education, skilling or social-impact programs in government schools/colleges.
● Kannada & English: Strong verbal and written communication, including formal government drafting in Kannada.
● Training & Facilitation: Experience delivering training to teachers, principals, lecturers or students.
● Field & Stakeholder Management: Comfortable with extensive travel, field monitoring and multi-stakeholder coordination.
● Project Management: Ability to manage timelines, follow-ups and execution across multiple locations.
● Action Research & Impact: Ability to capture field learning, identify implementation challenges and use evidence to improve program delivery.
● Presentation & Documentation: Strong PowerPoint, reporting and documentation skills.
Qualifications
● Master’s degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, Management or a related field.
● 5+ years of relevant experience in government partnerships, education, skilling or social-impact programs.
● Proven experience working with government departments, schools/colleges and institutional stakeholders.
● Strong proficiency in Kannada and English, including formal government drafting.
