About the RoleWe're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and working independently in the field. This position will primarily support generators, HVAC equipment, and related electrical/mechanical systems. You don't have to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone with the right electrical/mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, work ethic, and willingness to learn. Training will be provided to help the right person learn the equipment and become successful in the position.
ResponsibilitiesService, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair generators, HVAC equipment, and related systemsDiagnose electrical and mechanical issuesPerform inspections and preventive maintenanceUse tools, testing equipment, and technical resources to identify and correct problemsTravel to customer locations to complete service callsCommunicate professionally with customers regarding equipment and service needsComplete service documentation accurately and on timeWork independently while maintaining communication with the service and operations teamsFollow company safety procedures and service standardsMaintain and properly care for company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicle
QualificationsMilitary experience involving electrical systems, generators, HVAC, power production, mechanical maintenance, aircraft maintenance, vehicle maintenance, AGE, facilities, engineering, or other hands-on technical career fields may translate well into this opportunity. If you're transitioning from the military and don't have direct civilian Field Service Technician experience, we still encourage you to apply. Relevant military technical experience and transferable skills will be considered.
Required SkillsStrong electrical and/or mechanical aptitudeHands-on experience working with equipment, machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, generators, automotive/diesel equipment, or similar systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility and willingness to learn new equipment and technical processesComfortable working independently in a field-based environmentProfessional communication and customer service skillsDependable, accountable, and safety-mindedValid driver's license and clean background requiredWillingness to travel within the assigned service area
Preferred SkillsElectricians and candidates with stronger electrical experience may qualify toward the higher end of the pay range.Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are also encouraged to apply. If you're mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and equipment, and have a good understanding of how mechanical systems work, your experience may translate well to this position.Experience troubleshooting, repairing, or maintaining electrical/mechanical equipment, generators, HVAC systems, automotive equipment, machinery, or similar systems is a plus.
Pay range and compensation package $26–$37/hour. Compensation will be based on experience and technical background. A company vehicle is provided for the position
