Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced accountant who can hit the ground running and take ownership of Raya's books of accounts from day one. You will maintain the general ledger, record and reconcile transactions, manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, and drive month-end and year-end close. You will also own statutory compliance — GST returns and reconciliation, TDS deduction, payment and filings, and TCS where applicable — while preparing management reports and keeping documentation audit-ready. This is a hands-on role with minimal supervision, working directly with leadership and our Chartered Accountant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance, with the ability to independently manage a full set of books.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of Indian statutory compliance — GST returns and reconciliation, TDS deduction and filing, and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
• Strong command of double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, bank and vendor reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.
• Practical experience with accounting or ERP software (Tally, Zoho Books, or similar) and strong MS Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Accuracy in data handling, attention to detail, and the organizational discipline to meet monthly and statutory reporting deadlines.
• Confidence in training and explaining accounting workflows to others, with clear written and verbal communication for client and vendor interactions.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in and around Ahmedabad to deliver on-site ERP accounting training.

Salary range: 25,000 INR per month
