Job description:The San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Program & Event Specialist to coordinate educational programs and networking events for our legal community. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys planning and logistics, and values creating meaningful experiences.
The ideal candidate will operate with a sense of urgency, thrives in a fast-past environment, and is adaptable to last-minute changes; ability to maintain the utmost composure and professionalism under stressful situations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute MCLE-accredited educational programs, ensuring compliance with CA State Bar requirements.Coordinate all aspects of events, including venue arrangements, speaker outreach, sponsorships, and day-of logistics.Collaborate with volunteer leaders and internal teams to deliver engaging content and networking opportunities.Manage event registration, marketing support, and post-event evaluations.Assist with bar-wide events and special projects from beginning to end.QualificationsBachelor's degree in hospitality or similar3–5 years of experience in event coordination, including high-end signature eventsMinimum 5 years of providing high-end, high-level customer serviceStrong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and customer service abilities.Comfortable working with databases and web-based platforms such as Member CentralSuperior customer service skills.Experience:Event planning: 3-5 yearsCustomer service: 3-5yearsPhysical RequirementsAbility to assist with set-up and take-down of events.Must be able to lift 25 pounds or more alone or with assistance. xzbcwsv Able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
