What You Will Do:

• Provide attentive, compassionate animal care while supporting veterinarians with appointments, preventive care, triage, diagnostic procedures, and treatment plans.
• Prepare patients for surgery and dentistry, place IV catheters, administer medications, and monitor anesthesia to help ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Scale and polish teeth and contribute to many very advanced referral dental cases.
• Use your technical skills to collect blood samples, perform venipuncture, run laboratory tests, obtain X-rays, and assist with ultrasound and internal medicine cases.
• Deliver clear discharge planning and client education that helps pet owners understand medications, home care, preventive wellness, and follow-up recommendations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to an organized, collaborative hospital environment focused on patient comfort and animal welfare.

What You Bring:

• You hold an active Michigan Licensed Veterinary Technician credential, or are a Registered Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Technician eligible to practice in Michigan.
• You bring hands-on experience with anesthesia, anesthesia monitoring, IV catheterization, medication administration, and surgical patient support.
• You demonstrate a strong commitment to animal welfare, gentle handling, patient safety, and compassionate client service.
• You can confidently manage competing priorities in a busy veterinary hospital while communicating effectively with teammates and pet owners.
• You have solid veterinary medical recordkeeping and laboratory experience, with a detail-oriented approach to every patient.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fear Free Certification is valued, as is experience with critical care, radiology, ultrasound, dental procedures, and internal medicine.
• Experience in a small-animal practice and a passion for preventive care will help you thrive in this role.

Pay and Benefits:

• Earn $24 to $28 per hour based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
