Safety Specialist

Well established and respected heavy civil construction company has an immediate need for a SAFETY SPECIALIST.

As Safety Specialist your responsibilities will include: overseeing the project based field staff in the areas of incident reporting, safety orientation, audits and training.
Additional Responsibilities:• Responsible for liaising with clients, owners and other subcontractors and the review of investigations, medical and various other reports• Monitoring the implementation of corrective measures• Assisting with the documentation of safety and environmental incidents• Assisting with the development and communication of safety statisticsMinimum Requirements• 1+ years experience in heavy civil construction safety management• Experience with leading safety xzbcwsv orientations, project specific inspections and leading training initiatives.• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Health Course• CPR and First Aid Training• Excellent knowledge of applicable safety regulations• Ability to effectively communicate with people
