POSITION OVERVIEWOperating within the Enterprise Architecture and Technology Innovation Division, the Application Architect will report directly to the Chief Technology Architect. The primary objective of this role is to design scalable, secure, and resilient application and data integration architectures across Citizens Bank's enterprise landscape—leveraging AWS, Snowflake, and Kafka while architecting modern, AI-enabled solutions including RAG pipelines and autonomous agentic workflows.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Own end-to-end application and integration architectures, defining architecture blueprints, reference patterns, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).• Architect batch and real-time data movement solutions using Snowflake native features (Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks), dbt, and Kafka event streams.• Design cloud-native application integrations and API patterns on AWS using S3, Lambda, Glue, MSK, IAM, and API Gateway.• Build enterprise RAG pipelines and agentic workflow patterns, incorporating vector database retrieval, LLM integrations, and human-in-the-loop orchestration.• Lead architecture review boards, ensure solution alignment with financial regulatory standards (SOX, PCI-DSS), and produce technical diagrams for executive stakeholders.
