A highly regarded national law firm is seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Attorney to join its New York City office. This opportunity offers the resources and platform of a large national firm alongside the collaborative feel of a close-knit litigation team. The successful candidate will join the highest performing practice per head across the firm handling a diverse range of sophisticated defense-side matters.
Key Responsibilities:Manage a varied caseload of General Liability defense matters across multiple practice areas:Civil LitigationCommercial LitigationConstruction LitigationCorporate DisputesHealthcare LitigationCatastrophic InjuryGeneral Liability MattersHandle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearancesMaintain regular communication with clients, co-counsel, and internal stakeholdersCollaborate with colleagues across the New York office and broader national platform
Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive membership in good standing with the New Jersey & New York State Bar required2–8+ years of litigation experience, ideally on the defense sideStrong analytical, written, and oral advocacy skillsAbility to manage cases independently while contributing within a team-based environment xzbcwsv
