The OpportunityWe're supporting a highly respected technology organization delivering critical solutions across the US Intelligence and National Security community.
As part of a senior-level networking team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting highly secure, mission-essential network infrastructure supporting multiple intelligence programs. The environment demands exceptional levels of availability, fault tolerance and performance, providing the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that have a direct operational impact.
This is not a network operations role. You'll be involved in architecture, engineering, implementation and ongoing enhancement of complex networking environments across data centre, transport and enterprise infrastructure layers.
What You'll Be DoingDesigning and implementing secure enterprise network solutionsSupporting large-scale mission-critical network infrastructureEngineering and maintaining routing, switching and transport environmentsTroubleshooting complex network performance and connectivity issuesSupporting data centre and wide-area network environmentsWorking closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to develop technical solutionsContributing to network architecture, design reviews and infrastructure improvementsProviding technical leadership within your area of expertise
What We're Looking For8+ years of network engineering experienceStrong experience with Juniper networking technologies preferredCisco networking experience also consideredExperience designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise networksStrong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and associated protocolsExperience with routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP and BGPExperience with LAN, WAN and network security technologiesExperience with firewalls, ACLs and secure network architecturesExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work within highly collaborative engineering teams
Desirable ExperienceJuniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE)Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)EVPN, VXLAN or MPLS environmentsMulticast networkingVLANs, trunking and spanning treeBash, Python or other scripting languages
