Job Description Lead preconstruction efforts from initial pursuit through project handoff. Develop conceptual estimates, budgets, and pricing strategies for a variety of commercial projects. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors. Participate in client meetings and presentations, serving as a trusted representative of the company. Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless transitions from preconstruction to construction. Identify value engineering opportunities and provide strategic cost guidance throughout the design process. Support business development initiatives and help secure new project opportunities. Evaluate project risks, market conditions, and procurement strategies to maximize project success. Work closely with executive leadership to support the company's continued growth objectives. The Successful Applicant Must-Have Qualifications 5-10 years of preconstruction experience within commercial construction. Proven experience managing preconstruction efforts and successfully helping win new business. Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills. Experience leading budgeting, estimating, and preconstruction planning activities. Ability to build relationships with clients and project stakeholders. Preferred Experience Experience with healthcare, multifamily, mixed-use, corporate interiors, retail, office, sports and entertainment, or education projects. Established relationships within the Raleigh, Triangle, or broader North Carolina construction market. Experience supporting both negotiated and competitive pursuits.
