Freelance/ Contractor Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a Freelance/ Independent Contractor that is an experienced Accountant with a strong background in U.S.A. GAAP accounting principles and hands-on experience using Workday Financials and or Odoo Financials. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and compliance activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain an accounting workflow map for an ERP system like Odoo community and Workday 
• Have a deep understanding of ERP systems, GAAP accounting principles, and workflow business maps
• Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements in accordance with U.S.A. GAAP.
• Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Utilize a Workday like software for financial transactions, reporting, and process automation.
• Assist with audits, ensuring documentation and internal controls meet compliance standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial data flow.
• Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Experience with building and testing new software features

Qualifications:

• Experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with demonstrated knowledge of U.S.A. GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment.
