We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This individual will collaborate with estimating, field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure each project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil construction, including earthwork, utilities, grading, and site development, along with the leadership and financial management skills needed to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret construction plans, specifications, soils reports, and contract documents.Lead quantity takeoffs and estimate reviews for:Temporary erosion and sediment control, or TESCMass and fine gradingUnderground utilitiesStructural excavation and backfillSolicit, evaluate, and negotiate proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.Participate in budgeting, bidding, preconstruction planning, and proposal development.Manage project startup, handoff, and job setup.Lead project buyout and oversee subcontract administration.Manage insurance compliance, submittals, and project document control.Partner with Superintendents to coordinate:Project planning, scheduling, and sequencingMaterial procurement and deliveriesRequests for information and contract correspondenceChange management and identification of extra workMonitor project costs, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reporting.Manage contract administration, owner billings, change orders, lien releases, and collections.Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.Lead the project closeout process, including punch lists, as-built documentation, warranties, and final payment requirements.Ensure projects comply with company safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent civil construction experience.Proven experience managing civil construction projects involving earthwork, utilities, grading, excavation, or site development.Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and contract administration.Experience with construction management, estimating, scheduling, and document control software.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Project, and Word.Excellent organizational, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with one or more of the following platforms is preferred:AgtekHeavyBidHeavyJob WebTrackItVistaBluebeamScheduling and contract management platformsLeadership and Professional GrowthSuccessful Project Managers will have the opportunity to:Lead project teams from award through final closeout.Direct project planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management.Lead contract, subcontract, and supplier negotiations.Build lasting relationships with clients and industry partners.Mentor and develop Project Engineers and other team members.Identify opportunities to improve project operations and processes.Support estimating, preconstruction planning, and strategic project pursuits.Contribute to the company’s continued growth and long-term success. xzbcwsv What Success Looks LikeIn this role, success means delivering safe, high-quality projects while maintaining strong financial performance, meeting schedule commitments, proactively managing risk, and providing an excellent experience for clients and project partners.
