The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois atChicago is seeking a full-time Director of Finance. The Director ofFinance will direct and provide leadership for the Department of EmergencyMedicine Financial/Administration functions which include; planning and fiscalmanagement/analysis of all departmental budgets, financial reporting toleadership, clinical and research budgets, performance monitoring, contractnegotiations, forecasting/cash flow management, capital spending and overseeother professional and technical staff engaged in budgeting, purchasing andfiscal operations
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or relatedfield. 5 years prior healthcarefinancial management in University setting Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting,financial analysis, physician practice billing and collections/reimbursement;grantsmanship principles, Federal Regulations, Excellent independent judgement,decision making, communication, teaching and organizational skills. Attentionto detail, analytical thinking, regulatory compliance awareness, and ability towork under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Master Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration,Accounting, CPA.
