Junior Assistant Controller (Corp Team) @ High Growth Private Equity Firm

A Multi-Billion Private Equity Firm is looking to hire an Junior Assistant Controller for their Corporate Finance Team. This role will report to Controller and CFO. The team has about 3ppl and all young professionals with strong internal collaboration.

Will be responsible for Corporate reporting. This is a hands-on role with strong exposure to budgeting/forecasting, allocations/chargebacks, and process improvement as the team modernizes its finance platform.
RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the month-end close for the management company and related entities (journal entries, accruals, prepaids, amortization, fixed assets)Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedulesReview general ledger coding and ensure costs are properly attributed (department/entity)Build supporting analyses for monthly/quarterly reportingAssist with expense allocations and chargebacks, helping resolve discrepancies and keep balances currentSupport budgeting/forecasting and budget-to-actual variance analysisAssist with audit support (PBC schedules, workpapers) and basic controls documentationPartner cross-functionally (controller/CFO, fund accounting, external providers) on ad hoc projects and process improvements
What We’re Looking For2–5 years of accounting experience xzbcwsv (asset management / private equity / public accounting preferred)Bachelor’s in Accounting or FinanceStrong understanding of US GAAP, accrual accounting, reconciliations, and closeFamiliarity with management company / GP structures and expense allocations preferredNetSuite (or similar multi-entity ERP) preferred; Concur a plusDetail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow in asset management accounting
