Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing
and Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia license as an APRN and CPR certification Preferred:
2 years of registered nursing experience. One year of Public Health experience in Women's Health Services. Experience using electronic medical records & EMR systems. Description of Duties:
The incumbent will provide specialized nursing care in our adult health programs including family planning, womens health, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV PreExposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). The incumbent will function under a Public Health nurse protocols, diagnosing and treating patient, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary Public Health clinical team to optimize patient care. The NP will also provide guidance and support to RNs and LPNs working in the Health Department and may support other clinical areas such as immunizations. This position will report to the Nurse Administrator.
